 Application for further reviews and apeal

 
 

​If the Director for Granting Licenses for Electricity Works rejects the application you will be sent an e-mail specifying the grounds for rejection of the application.


The response time to the application for an application to receive a letter of rejection is 60 days from the date the application was filed. The time for the applicant to supplement missing documents – is not included within the framework of the 60 days.

Whoever has not attended a committee/talk to obtain an inspector/engineer/practical engineer/technician electrician license – a new online application may be filed, and you will be summoned to a committee not before 6 months have elapsed since the last committee.


If you have received a letter of rejection the following possibilities are available:

 

1. Application for further review of the application to obtain license

The letter must be addressed to the Director for Granting Electricity Licenses.  You should specify and give reasons for all your claims, including the addition of relevant documents.
The letter may be sent via:  fax 02-6243042 or 8 King David Street P.O.B. 3166 Jerusalem 9103101.
You can ascertain that the letter has arrived via the human response service – at tel. 02-6662030/32 Sunday to Thursday between the hours 09:00 to 17:00.
The response time to the letter for further review of an application to obtain a license is 60 days from the time the letter is received at our office.
 

2. Application for further review by a committee with a different compostion

If it is a case of an application to obtain an inspector/engineer-electrical license, and the applicant has not attended a professional advisory committee to the Director – a reasoned and detailed letter may be filed with an application for further review at committee with a different composition.
It should be clarified and emphasized that further review of the application to a committee with a different composition will only be made if the applicant provides new documents, new/different grounds, new evidence or a technical error in making the decision.
The decision authority in the application is vested in the Director for Granting Licenses, and at his professional discretion.
 

3. Apeal

Pursuant to Section 8 of the Electricity Law whoever considers himself to be affected by the decision of the Director for Granting Electricity Licenses may appeal thereon before the Appeals Committee appointed pursuant to Section 7.  This Appeals Committee sits at the District Court in Jerusalem.
