Wix Plays To Win At The Superbowl

​The Israeli success story Wix has purchased its first Super Bowl ad spot during the broadcast by NBC in February 2015, in an attempt to raise its profile among American consumers.


Wix, provider of a popular DIY website creation platform, has more than 55 million users worldwide, and a market cap of $600 million, following an IPO in 2013. Another Israeli company, SodaStream, purchased a Super Bowl ad spot in 2014, featuring actress Scarlett Johansson.

Although the cost of Wix's buy is undisclosed, it is believed that a 30-second spot this year comes with a price tag of approximately $4 million. ​​
